Hello my lovely Fanfickers!


It's been a while... I know, I know! Please don't stone me! But I bring gifts with me... well... not necessarily! This post will consist of some recommendations, recognitions, and some other things that I hope you all will enjoy!


First and foremost, I would like to make a shout out to all that participated in our latest poll!  Your help is always greatly appreciated and it helps me figure out what I need to do to make this blog a better service to my readers!  According to 94% of the votes, most of you guys get your fics from Soompi.com.* I LOVE Soompi! This is a great site for anyone in any age level! The moderators on the website screen everything that is written so that there will be no foul language or "lemon" scenes!  Parents can definitely trust this website when it comes to Asian fanfics, music, fashion and other sorts of blogs!


I just found a website, AsianFanfics.com,* that also tickles my fancy!  Unlike Soompi, which focuses on Asian (predominantly Korean) pop culture, this website focuses on Asian fanfiction and fanfiction in general ONLY!  I love it because I have found several writers that are extrodinary authors that aren't held back from the strict rules that are enforced by other forums.  However, PARENTS AND OLDER SIBLINGS BEWARE!!! There are many stories on that forum that contain adult scenes.  These stories are marked with an H, which means that people under the age of 18 will not be able to see the contents of this story due to some "mature" content!  Other than that, I think that this fanfic forum deserves to be checked out, especially for the writers who might want to type out their story right onto the forum.  Asianfanfics.com gives you the option to save your work without showing anything to your readers until you say so!


By the way, I am also starting my own fic which is tentatively entitled, "Love is not just Another Four Letter Word".  It's a Gasoo fic starring my original characters, Tracy Park and Darnelle Jones, and my favorite Korean boy group, DBSK (all five of them.... KEEPING FAITH!!! ^^).  I'll make a separate post for a synopsis, but for now I will just leave the links for you guys to check out at the bottom of this post.  There are two versions of the story that I will have.  The story will be on Soompi and on AsianFanfics.  I do this only because there will be lemon scenes and to respect the bylaws of the Soompi team I will make the Soompi version rated PG-13. However, the AsianFanfics version will contain mature adult content and WILL NOT be accessible to people under the age of 18. I hope you guys enjoy my story! Feel free to leave me comments on either versions or right here on the BFF blog!


Right now I'm stalking a few new fics! One of my favorite authors, Skyelee21**, has started a new fic entitled, "Six Ways to Sunday"***.  Soompi's Reader's Choice Award nominee, Cookie3005, has also started started on a new story called, "Takara"***. Another fic I'm juggling is called, "Just One More Time" by MissusChoiSeungHyun****. Of course these stories will be recommended individually, but I just wanted to throw some fics out there for those of you who don't know what to read.

Some things to expect in the near future are some more interviews with our favorite authors and some news from Amore so be on the look out for some new updates!

Well... it's just about that time for me to head out now. If you guys have any stories that you would like to recommend to me I would love to check them out! Just leave me a comment and I'll hop to it!

Best Fanfic of the Month

Hello fellow Fanfic Lovers!!!

I hope you all are fairing well! "Tis a great day to announce a Best Fan Fic of the Month!! Yes, I have changed the title of this blog, but it's because I realized that I will never have time to update the BFF so often. I will, however, will try with the best of my ability, to continue posting new recommendations for you guys to read (as often as possible). Once again Nuna501 (aka Gypsy) has been able to catch my eye with another short story/ side fanfic. This story can stand alone; however, according the author, this story ties into the main story that she is currently writing, Almost Lover (another one of my favorites at this moment).  Nuna501 does an outstanding job of luring her audience into a fairylike world.  Like I have said before in a previous update, this story is no ordinary fairy tale, but I promise it is worth the read! The colorful words and audacious plot leaves me feeling nothing less than satisfied with my time spent reading this story.

Synopsis

A princess by the name of Everlasting was cursed since birth with the inablity to smile or laugh.  Although she was claimed as the fairest woman in all of the land, nothing could break the wretched spell.  The King, her father of course, was advised by one of his counselors to build her a home in the forest where it was prophesized that there she would be able to break the spell.  After years of waiting in her forest home with her servants, Everlasting finds herself still stuck with her plague and finally resigned with the idea that she will never be able to emote her moments of glee. Until one day her knight in shining armor comes and saves the day and whisks her off into the sunset.... well not quite! Like I said this isn't the same fairy tale that we've grown  up with.  But I promise it is worth your time! Remember, this is a Soomp! story so be sure that you become a member before you try to click that link!!!

But rest assured once I have finished them off I'll let you know how I felt about them! I'm working on getting some inerviews done with the authors of these amazing stories, but I ask that you give me some time to get that done! Simple Update

Hey Fanfic Lovers!!!

I know I've been gone for so long,  but my internet hasn't been working for a while! So I'm going to try to post everything via phone. Unfortunately, I won't be able to doll up the posts.  However, as long as I can keep you guys entertained and interested that is that will be needed! I am currently reading Almost Lover by Nuna501. She is an amazing author who is aspiring to get her work published. I discovered her work on Soompi and her chapters are nothing short of amazing! Although the story is not yet done, I suggest you guys start following her, if you are a part of Soompi of course. Nuna501 gives her audience a bit of comedy, romance, and a tad bit of suspense! Nothing short of AMAZING is how I would rate it!



I am also reading Love Bugged by the four time winner of Fiction of the Year on Soompi, Solangel. Two words to describe this story: PURE GENIUS!!! I'm sure a lot of you have heard about Solangel. And if you haven't... you are not a true fanficker! Lol Just kidding! I've read almost all of her fics and I know that she deserves all of her awards! Conversations Between Us, The Joy of Being Happy and Banana Pancakes are the stories that have captured the hearts of fanfickers everywhere. And now she's back from her hiatus to start back up with where she left off in her action packed, romantic thriller. 

I'll be back to let you know what else I'm getting my hands on because these two stories are still ongoing!! Thanks for holding in there you guys!!!

Blast into the Fanfix of the Past

Hello Fanfickers!!!

Trufloetry here after a month of a sorta kinda hiatus! This month is the last month of classes and although I have a bunch of papers and what nots to do... I am glad to say that I am done with my internship!! Yahh!! Which means that I'll have more time to recommend stories!! Speaking of stories... today's blast from the past fanfic is....

It's not often that I would read a story more than once. In fact, I do that on rare occasions! However, this story was so captivating the first time I read it that I had to read  TWO MORE TIMES just to make sure that I could lodge every scene, every adjective, every emotion into my fanfic crazed head! lol Yisa subtly encourages her readers to become a part of the story. Her adjectives and imagery are so powerful and memorable that they draw her audience into her story, thus making them feel as if they were a part of it.  The sad parts are heart wrenching, the good times makes you want to jump up for joy, and the amorous filled moments make you want to cuddle up with your loved one! And I can never forget the action packed events that occur quite frequently, due to the fact that our main female protagonist, Mint, is quite a hot headed, impulsive, and adventurous young woman! I promise this story is not a let down! You won't be able to tear your eyes off of the story! 


Synopsis
Mint Katsuie: the female protagonist in the story and a very unusual individual.  Depsite her impulsive nature and adventurous heart, she is very virtuous and loyal.  She makes promises that she tries not to break, but they usually get her into some trouble, which is where this beloved story sets off.  Before her departure from Japan to America, a young Mint promised her crush that if he recites a specific poem to her when she comes back she will take her place as his girl.  However, when Mint returns to Japan, with her twin brother, Alan, she cannot seem to remember who she made the promise to.  See... the problem is that there are two guys (who happen to be best friends) that look shockingly alike and have similar names: Valrine Kuyume and Valerane Satomiki! And to make everything worse... it seems that Mint made the same promise to both young men. Now the fundamental question is: "Which guy did she mean to make the promise to?"  This story tests the strength of true friendship. This story analyzes the depth of one's love. This story is the story that you (who have not read it before) have been waiting for.

Blast into the Fanfix of the Past

Hello Fanfic lovers!!!

I'm feeling a tad bit nostalgic today so I'm going to give you a blast from my favorite stories that I am sure you will come to love, too! Today's story was written in about '05 according to its writer! Although this story did not bring me into the world of fanfix, it sure did introduce me to the loves of my life: Dong Bang Shin Ki aka TVXQ!!! This week's Blast from the Past fanfic is:

First of all, I would like to thank Skyelee21 for creating such a magnificent work of art! If it wasn't for you, I would have never tried to learn more about this fascinating culture or even think about continuing this growing and evolving hobby of mine! Skyelee21 draws her readers into the "life" of TVXQ in such an illustrative manner that I can still remember my excitement to finish reading it everyday after classes!! This work is such a lovely ensemble of imagination and fantasy! I expect nothing short of amazing from Skyelee21's current fanfic "Chasing After You", which is in the works at this very moment on Soomp!

Synopsis:

Skyelee21 brings us into the uncut, unedited "life" of DBSK in the eyes of the protagonist, Shin Eun Jin, aka the Queen of wishful thinking.  Being convinced by her Unnie to become their "assistant roadie" (in other words their personal assistant) as she awaits her acceptance to NYU in the US, she meets the ever growing popular K-pop boy band and falls right into place with them as if she was the missing piece to a puzzle! But, just like in most boy- girl friendships, someone always ends up falling in love. Not too much heartbreak but a lot of familial collaboration and love from the characters will tug on the heart strings of whoever reads this story! 

I don't have a link to the story is on Soomp!, seeing as how the story was most likely made before the Soomp! renovation, so I'll post the link for Shoebox instead. Moonlit Masquerade

Hello Fanfic lovers!!!

As promised, I will be giving the synopsis of the fanfic "Moonlit Masquerade". I really enjoyed reading this story. Every second spent reading this story is a second well spent! lol

Singing full- time at a famous bar that hosts celebrity look- alikes, Yoobin was nearly glorified by her "fans" because of the similarities between herself and Aeri. However, Yoobin was desperate to get her hands on another job in order to take care of herself and her handicapped Aunt. One night, after another dreaded performance (in Yoobin's opinion at least), Yoobin was visited by Aeri's personal assistant, Nam Suk. To make a long story short, he offers her a position to pose as Aeri for a week in order to take a vacation and to ditch a long awaited, first date with her betrothed, TOP (from Big Bang)... of course Aeri takes the deal, but she finds herself in quite a dilemma when she realizes that the pig headed chauvinist that she constantly bickers with is actually the man of her dreams, her knight in shining armor, her... well you got the point! Bad thing about her situation is that everyone believes that she is Aeri!! Listen to me when I suggest you to immerse yourself in this whirlwind of a story that portrays how love and humility can change the lives of many people from two different worlds!

What I'm reading!

Hello Fanfickers!!!
Another lovely day to read a fanfic is ahead of us!! Sorry I didn't post anything last night... but I was finishing up the Moonlit Masquerade! And as I told you before, this story is PHENOMENAL!!! Miss Bouakham did a stupendous job, thus placing her story in my favorites section! But then again... there is nothing but the best that I provide for my readers!!

Now to go on with my current story of the day... I am currently reading Almost Lover by Nuna501. She is not done writing her story! However, she has twisted me into her realm! Almost Lover is laced with humor and encircled with the idea of love. This story is worth every minute spent reading it! Show the author some support so she can hurry up and write some more!! lol I'm so excited about this story that I literally stalk it everyday! 0':'0

These great Soomp! authors are hiding! I need your help to find these great stories and share it with everyone! Reading bad stories is so annoying! Especially, if people are constantly recommending them! Nevertheless, Trufloetry knows what is best! I will not let you guys down!! Oh and spread the word about my Blog! Let it be known that somewhere in cyber space lies a place in which good stories, such as Almost Lover and Moonlit Masquerade, are recommended!

What I'm reading!

Hello Fanfic Lovers!!!
Just wanted to give you guys the 411 on what I'm reading now... I'll probably do this everyday seeing as how I'm reading like 5 fanfix right now! But I'll be giving special attention to one per day! The fanfic I'm reading today is called Moonlit Masquerade by Miss Bouakham. I'm not done reading it but every last one of the 35 chapters I've read so far have been so wonderful!!! The author is a romance novel guru, obviously!! Her work has been nothing short of intriguing! If you want to boost up your english vocabulary this story is definitely the one for you! lol I won't give a synopsis of the story just yet since I'm not done reading it... but this fanfic... so far... has placed itself in my must read, favorite fanfic section!

What a well written story!!! I was not able to pull my eyes away from the screen of my pc!!! Con pulls you into the lives of the protagonist and doesn't let her audience down until the end... which I regrettably say has not been created. Unfortunately, Con has left her loyal readers at a cliff hanger; however, there is only one update left until she is done! Long chapters, but you get the feeling that you are in the actual settings that she describes.

Synopsis:
Con starts off the story by introducing you to the main protagonist, Yoori...just an average young woman, living in Taeboek, Korea. Three years prior, Yoori had an "accident". She suffers from amnesia, but she is having recurring dreams that she cannot decode and that her family will not explain to her! Unfortunately, Yoori's family is killed in a horrible house fire, which in her favor allows her to follow her dream of living in Seoul. There she meets the kings of the Underworld: King of Serpents and King of Skulls who change her life from the moment she looks at them! Drawn into a world in which each event is unforgiving, Yoori is thrown into the pit of lions and tigers that are out to seek their own selfish goals. Hatred and love, betrayal and loyalty, guns and roses all mashed up into one action packed story that will keep you glued to your seat until you reach the end of the story!

Introduction

Hello fellow Fanfic lovers!!!

First off, I'll like to introduce myself as Trufloetry! Just like many of you, I'm sick and tired of reading fanfix that people recommend on Soomp! and they turn out to SUCK! Poor grammar, little to no punctuation, or just a bad story all together! But, I hope you all can trust my judgment in recommendations!

These stories are going to start off with my TOP favorites that I have already read. And then they will progress to the current ones (notice the plurality) that I am reading! Each of my postings will have a brief synopsis of the story. I am willing to take recommendations from you guys, also, in order to add to my my little collection. No I will not put a .doc or .pdf file of the stories that you guys want to read, unless I am given the permission of the author. However, I will put the url so that you guys won't have to search for it! They will either come from Shoebox or Soomp!.
