Yes, I'm back again with a Blast from the past. It's actually a story I just finished a day ago, but it was awarded Soompi's 2008 Fic of the Year award. It's author is still thriving very well with her award winning fics and has touched the hearts of fanfickers all over the world. This blog would not be complete if I did not recommend her stories to you! This month's Blast from the Past features:

My thoughts and comments on this story can never describe it in the manner that it deserves. However, I will do my best to lure you all to read this masterpiece. The award winning author, Solangel, is a very blessed and talented person and she demonstrates that dutifully throughout Banana Pancakes.


Compared to her other stories, this story has sincerely taken me on such an emotional roller coaster that I had to put it down for a little while to recuperate. I felt somewhat nostalgic while reading this story. I'm not old, but I'm not in high school anymore. So while reading parts of this story I started to reminisce on my adolescent and drama filled years. Although this is a work of fiction, Solangel does well to give her audience a common ground in which we can truly get a sense of familiarity with the characters, settings, and plot. What I personally love about this story is that Solangel does well to tell us the character's story within her story. The readers are never left hanging and wondering where in the world did that come from??!!! Such a clear cut story perfectly created to entice anyone with a good imagination to indulge in.


Synopsis:


Kim SuVy... she could be described as just the typical high school rich girl growing up in Seoul, South Korea.  In fact, one could very well say that she could be classified as the hole in the wall that no one sees. That's if she didn't have her BFF, partner in crime, and personal punching bag, also known as Lee Dongmin. That and the fact that she's an up and coming model with a golden heart and pretty gray eyes.  SuVy and Dongmin have been friends for about 13 years of constant bickering and fighting.  However, nothing has been able to shake their friendship until one day some two new kids transfer to their school.  Unforseen drama erupts in the lives of SuVy and Dongmin to the extent that their friendship and their lives are placed on the line of survival or extinction. Challenges between a friendship that has prolonged literally through thick and thin will be tested. Will their friendship stand through times' changes? Or will they forever be Banana Pancakes? Update and Best Fanfix of the Month

Hey Fanfic Lovers!!

Yes, I know I've been negligent with this blog! I'm really sorry! Please forgive me for my truancies! Honestly, life has turned me upside down and I haven't had the stamina to fulfill my duty to you all! I have been reading, but unfortunately none of the stories have been completed. I finished a short story called "She Felt it Everyday"... well I didn't necessarily finish it. The author passed away before she could finish her story. However, you can understand what the moral and ending of the story would have been if she had completed it. So in the memory of Hanna aka PinkCoffee this month's Best Fanfix of the Month is

This story is very touching. I cried through this heart felt story. Many girls and even guys have gone through similar heartbreaks and don't know how to recuperate from their troubles. Although we do not know the ending of this story we can all just learn from her mistakes and live life the way she would have wanted to live hers. Her words are truly poetic and grabs the readers' hearts with every fleeting adjective. This is a must read. Even if it's not finished the poetry in this story is worth the read.

Synopsis:

A heartfelt TRUE story of Hanna and her crush. Hanna fell in love with a guy she met through a friend.  And she tries to find the best way to tell him that she loves him. I can't delve too much into the story because it will spoil it. But I am 100% positive... this is phenomenal writing.

Best Fanfic of the Month

Hello fellow Fanfic Lovers!!!

I hope you all are fairing well! "Tis a great day to announce a Best Fan Fic of the Month!! Yes, I have changed the title of this blog, but it's because I realized that I will never have time to update the BFF so often. I will, however, will try with the best of my ability, to continue posting new recommendations for you guys to read (as often as possible). My passion for reading fics will never cease so don't think I'm not reading! I just can't get to a computer that would allow me to do all the html changes and what not... Once again Nuna501 (aka Gypsy) has been able to catch my eye with another short story/ side fanfic. This story can stand alone; however, according the author, this story ties into the main story that she is currently writing, Almost Lover (another one of my favorites at this moment).  Nuna501 does an outstanding job of luring her audience into a fairylike world.  Like I have said before in a previous update, this story is no ordinary fairy tale, but I promise it is worth the read! The colorful words and audacious plot leaves me feeling nothing less than satisfied with my time spent reading this story.

Synopsis

A princess by the name of Everlasting was cursed since birth with the inablity to smile or laugh.  Although she was claimed as the fairest woman in all of the land, nothing could break the wretched spell.  The King, her father of course, was advised by one of his counselors to build her a home in the forest where it was prophesized that there she would be able to break the spell.  After years of waiting in her forest home with her servants, Everlasting finds herself still stuck with her plague and finally resigned with the idea that she will never be able to emote her moments of glee. Until one day her knight in shining armor comes and saves the day and whisks her off into the sunset.... well not quite! Like I said this isn't the same fairy tale that we've grown  up with.  But I promise it is worth your time! Remember, this is a Soomp! story so be sure that you become a member before you try to click that link!!!

Hey you Fanfic lovers!!!

I'm just breezing by because two jobs does that to you!! Any who, Contemplate has finally completed her saga. And boy is that story intense!! Brace yourself for the tumble down to the Underworld. It's a painful ride, but in the end it was worth every second spent reading it.

Almost Lover has a side story called "The Tale of Ever and Fire". It's a heartfelt tale that seems to be fairy like but I promise it isn't as it seems! This little love quest between forbidden lovers is colorfully described in a manner that will mesmerize you! But do beware... the author has placed a warning that a reader's discretion is advised! So you little fan girls/ guys be sure that it is okay for you too read it with your parents before you get Nuna501 in trouble!!!

Well I gotta head off to work. Sorry I don't have anymore stories for you guys, but I don't have my laptop with me! But I will try with all of my hardest to get a BFF of the week/ month asap!!!

What I'm Reading!

Hey Fanfic lovers!

Once again my apologies for my inability to keep up with this blog. But true to my promises I have been on the prowl for good stories! And I have found some! I will be putting up a fanfic of the week in the near future.... hopefully on Sunday. I finally found an application for Blogspot for android so I'm going to try my hardest to keep up with this blog!

For all of you who have not heard the great news... Con.template, the author of "Welcome to the Underworld", has returned from a seven month hiatus! She will be finishing the TaeRi saga shortly but for now she's giving us excerpts of the ending and the story behind the special tea that Yoori created.

In other news.... I have read an amazing story titled "To Be or Not to Be" and I'm currently reading its sequel, "The Unkindest Cut of All" by Pseudonym (on Winglin) Heythere (on Soompi). The sequel is intense so I'm taking a break on it for a little bit. Lol I'm so into the story that I'm anxious about the outcome!

I'm also reading a romantic comedy entitled, "Temptations of a Virgin" by Dewofthesea. Although it's an ongoing story I suggest you get on the bandwagon because this story will surely keep you entertained.

"Almost Lover" by Nuna501 is coming along spectacularly! If you haven't checked out Soompi's latest most loved story, then I suggest you hurry up and join the JaeMi journey.

Another story I would like to share is called "Chasing After You" by Skyelee21! This story is wrapping up in a couple of chapters but the storyline is still very captivating. In my opinion the author is definitely making an impact on her authors after every update! Well that's all for now! Be on the look out for the fic of the week on Sunday! Simple Update

Hey Fanfic Lovers!!!

I know I've been gone for so long,  but my internet hasn't been working for a while! So I'm going to try to post everything via phone. Unfortunately, I won't be able to doll up the posts.  However, as long as I can keep you guys entertained and interested that is that will be needed! I am currently reading Almost Lover by Nuna501. She is an amazing author who is aspiring to get her work published. I discovered her work on Soompi and her chapters are nothing short of amazing! Although the story is not yet done, I suggest you guys start following her, if you are a part of Soompi of course. Nuna501 gives her audience a bit of comedy, romance, and a tad bit of suspense! Nothing short of AMAZING is how I would rate it!



I am also reading Love Bugged by the four time winner of Fiction of the Year on Soompi, Solangel. Two words to describe this story: PURE GENIUS!!! I'm sure a lot of you have heard about Solangel. And if you haven't... you are not a true fanficker! Lol Just kidding! I've read almost all of her fics and I know that she deserves all of her awards! Conversations Between Us, The Joy of Being Happy and Banana Pancakes are the stories that have captured the hearts of fanfickers everywhere. And now she's back from her hiatus to start back up with where she left off in her action packed, romantic thriller. 

I'll be back to let you know what else I'm getting my hands on because these two stories are still ongoing!! Thanks for holding in there you guys!!!

Blast into the Fanfix of the Past

Hello Fanfickers!!!

Trufloetry here after a month of a sorta kinda hiatus! This month is the last month of classes and although I have a bunch of papers and what nots to do... I am glad to say that I am done with my internship!! Yahh!! Which means that I'll have more time to recommend stories!! Speaking of stories... today's blast from the past fanfic is....

It's not often that I would read a story more than once. In fact, I do that on rare occasions! However, this story was so captivating the first time I read it that I had to read  TWO MORE TIMES just to make sure that I could lodge every scene, every adjective, every emotion into my fanfic crazed head! lol Yisa subtly encourages her readers to become a part of the story. Her adjectives and imagery are so powerful and memorable that they draw her audience into her story, thus making them feel as if they were a part of it.  The sad parts are heart wrenching, the good times makes you want to jump up for joy, and the amorous filled moments make you want to cuddle up with your loved one! And I can never forget the action packed events that occur quite frequently, due to the fact that our main female protagonist, Mint, is quite a hot headed, impulsive, and adventurous young woman! I promise this story is not a let down! You won't be able to tear your eyes off of the story! 


Synopsis
Mint Katsuie: the female protagonist in the story and a very unusual individual.  Depsite her impulsive nature and adventurous heart, she is very virtuous and loyal.  She makes promises that she tries not to break, but they usually get her into some trouble, which is where this beloved story sets off.  Before her departure from Japan to America, a young Mint promised her crush that if he recites a specific poem to her when she comes back she will take her place as his girl.  However, when Mint returns to Japan, with her twin brother, Alan, she cannot seem to remember who she made the promise to.  See... the problem is that there are two guys (who happen to be best friends) that look shockingly alike and have similar names: Valrine Kuyume and Valerane Satomiki! And to make everything worse... it seems that Mint made the same promise to both young men. Now the fundamental question is: "Which guy did she mean to make the promise to?"  This story tests the strength of true friendship. This story analyzes the depth of one's love. This story is the story that you (who have not read it before) have been waiting for.

Poll Results

Hey Fanfickers!!!

             

Just wanted to update you guys on the poll results. First of all, you guys voted and said that you prefer long non- gasoo fanfics over all the rest. For all of you who do not know what a gasoo fic is, it is a fic that do not have celebrities (i.e. Jang Geun Suk, Shinhwa, Boa, TVXQ, Big Bang, B2K, Beyonce etc) as characters in their stories (or at least main characters). I must admit that I agree with you guys because I do become bias at times when choosing which fanfic to read and I usually have a level of expectation for the fic because they have that particular celebrity in it!

Second, I have a massive amount of stories to read.. but like I've told you guys before, if I don't get sucked in from the beginning of a story, it kinda puts me straight to sleep! Now, I'm not looking for anything to lull me to sleep because 9 times out of 10, that's exactly what's going to happen to you! I only want the BEST for my readers, so if my readers can hook me up with the 411 on what stories won't put me to sleep that would be AWESOME!!! I am currently reading one fic by a new Soompi author, who has already won a B.F.F. in the past, and of course she doesn't disappoint. But if you guys are writing, have written, or even just read a story that you think is worth the B.F.F. award just let me know! Leave me a comment or send me an email! Tad bit of a change!!

 Best Fanfic of the Week Month!!!

Another lovely day to read a great fanfic is upon us.... let's grasp every moment of it and read as if our lives depended on it.... well not really! lol But anyway.... since it's Spring Break and I have NOTHING planned (ugh... how dreadful!) I'll have more time for this blog! However, instead of having a fanfic of the week... we will only have a fanfic of the month! Like I told you guys before, I will be very occupied with my internship and school this month so it would be impressive but VERY unhealthy for me to juggle all of this work in such minimal time! But...enough chit chat though.... now on to bigger and greater things... the moment that you've been waiting for.... the Fan Fic of the Week is.... (drum roll please)...

This week will be a tad bit different because I was obliged to put both the original and the sequel as the honoree! These two stories are just splendid, a work of art that can only be created by someone that has such an amazing understanding of women and their thought processes! Hiro is a genius! The way he portrays his female protagonist is something of a phenomenon! I'm sure PLENTY of his fans think that he is gay, but he tells us straight up on his website that he is 100% straight oh and ladies he's engaged! So he's HANDS OFF!!! lol! Anyway, only a brilliant man would be able to depict a woman's actions in such great details and I think that man (for this week at least or until I find another dude) is Hiro!

Synopsis:

Yamazaki Kosuke and his friends are the biggest, baddest, and sexiest guys to walk the halls of Tsuzuya Academy.  All of the guys envied their swag while every girl dreamed of being with at least one of them.  Yamazaki Kosuke's gang was notorious for the amount of fights they participated in.  The results of these fights were always in his favor, therefore, leaving him the most feared and adored guy in Tsuzuya Academy... until one day Miyazawa Aya begins to attend the school.  Her noteriety was developed through the fact that her gang that was known throughout Japan and was a force to be reckoned with.  Noticing that ever since Miyazawa Aya entered the school less people still feared him, Kosuke felt that his sovereingty was being tested by this girl.  So he takes it upon himself to take back his crown... but of course things don't end just like that! Miyazawa's doll like features, perfect hair, kindness and pink lips starts to take a toll on Kosuke! And her mysterious past and present begins to morph the lives of those encircling Miyazawa Aya! What do I mean by that?  Well, you're just going to have to read the story to find out! Now, I won't talk about Fists and Lipsticks 2 because it kinda ruins the story for you guys! But just trust me.... Hiro knows how to write amazing stories! This story is worth every minute of your time!

Hello fellow fanfic lovers!!!
The title of this blog might come as a shock to you seeing as how i just started my blog! But... I gotta start getting into school mode, even though classes have been well underway.... that's beside the point. I have my education internship coming up for the next couple of weeks so I have to get into the mindset of a responsible college student... =^( ... soooo I'm going to have to decrease my time on Soomp! considerably! The upside to this is that I will be doing this internship 2 hours each Tuesday (my sole off day)until the end of March! With other classwork, work, religious meetings, and life it's going to be hard to stay on top of things with my blog and keep track of who has their updates on their stories!! So please forgive my absence, but I promise to have some good stuff for you guys when I'm back! To all the authors that I'm following right now please don't take me off of your PM lists!! I love your stories.... only reason why I even asked to be a part of your community! I'll try to make a post for at least my Blast from the Past segments each week or my B.F.F. of the week segment! What I'm reading!

Hello Fanfickers!!!

Sorry I haven't posted anything new as of late! I've been on the prowl for new stories and trying to wrap my mind around some of the one's that I have found... you all know what that means! If it hasn't caught my attention after 2 chapters then there's really no point in continuing! And there are just soo many unfinished work on Soompi that I've been searching high and low for stories in different forums! 

But, today, I got my hands on this really interesting story featuring DBSK, "Redemption" by Sobriquet. The protagonist is a crestfallen Junsu who is saddened over his breakup with his first love! Sobriquet does well in describing her pathetic character and draws her readers into his emotions as if you were him! I'm not done with it yet, but I'll be sure to tell you guys about it when I am!

Blast into the Fanfix of the Past

Hello Fanfic lovers!!!

I'm feeling a tad bit nostalgic today so I'm going to give you a blast from my favorite stories that I am sure you will come to love, too! Today's story was written in about '05 according to its writer! Although this story did not bring me into the world of fanfix, it sure did introduce me to the loves of my life: Dong Bang Shin Ki aka TVXQ!!! This week's Blast from the Past fanfic is:

Queen of Wishful Thinking by Skyelee21

Praises:

First of all, I would like to thank Skyelee21 for creating such a magnificent work of art! If it wasn't for you, I would have never tried to learn more about this fascinating culture or even think about continuing this growing and evolving hobby of mine! Skyelee21 draws her readers into the "life" of TVXQ in such an illustrative manner that I can still remember my excitement to finish reading it everyday after classes!! This work is such a lovely ensemble of imagination and fantasy! I expect nothing short of amazing from Skyelee21's current fanfic "Chasing After You", which is in the works at this very moment on Soomp!

Synopsis:

Skyelee21 brings us into the uncut, unedited "life" of DBSK in the eyes of the protagonist, Shin Eun Jin, aka the Queen of wishful thinking.  Being convinced by her Unnie to become their "assistant roadie" (in other words their personal assistant) as she awaits her acceptance to NYU in the US, she meets the ever growing popular K-pop boy band and falls right into place with them as if she was the missing piece to a puzzle! But, just like in most boy- girl friendships, someone always ends up falling in love. Not too much heartbreak but a lot of familial collaboration and love from the characters will tug on the heart strings of whoever reads this story! 

I don't have a link to the story is on Soomp!, seeing as how the story was most likely made before the Soomp! renovation, so I'll post the link for Shoebox instead. Best Fanfic of the week 2/21

Good morning Fanfickers!!!

It's actually 1:35 am for me! Just got back from the 3-11 (work for all of you who have question marks roaming your head) so please forgive me for my delay. This week's best fanfic honoree is actually a unique one! I'm not really a fan of one shot short stories, but this story was just too good to not give it props! It was so good that I made a last minute decision on who the B.F.F. (best fanfic lol) honoree would be this week! Without further ado, the B.F.F. of the week is:

Nuna501 has ceased to amaze me! First, her current fanfic, "Almost Lovers", took my breath away with its humor filled storyline and now with this one shot piece that, although ends sadly, kept me captivated in its descriptive tone and relentless passion to portray love between two people at the final moments of being together!

Synopsis:
Since the story was short, I can't give too much away. Basically, a man finds himself between a rock and hard place when he realizes that his time left on this planet has already made a count down! This leads to his revelation to say goodbye to his crush... he needs to see her, even if it's the last thing he does. Tear drops were falling as I read this mini story! Nothing but a great read when you're in a rush!

Well it's time for me to get some shut eye! So I will see ya on the flip side.. ya digg??

Moonlit Masquerade

Hello Fanfic lovers!!!

As promised, I will be giving the synopsis of the fanfic "Moonlit Masquerade". I really enjoyed reading this story. Every second spent reading this story is a second well spent! lol

Singing full- time at a famous bar that hosts celebrity look- alikes, Yoobin was nearly glorified by her "fans" because of the similarities between herself and Aeri. However, Yoobin was desperate to get her hands on another job in order to take care of herself and her handicapped Aunt. One night, after another dreaded performance (in Yoobin's opinion at least), Yoobin was visited by Aeri's personal assistant, Nam Suk. To make a long story short, he offers her a position to pose as Aeri for a week in order to take a vacation and to ditch a long awaited, first date with her betrothed, TOP (from Big Bang)... of course Aeri takes the deal, but she finds herself in quite a dilemma when she realizes that the pig headed chauvinist that she constantly bickers with is actually the man of her dreams, her knight in shining armor, her... well you got the point! Bad thing about her situation is that everyone believes that she is Aeri!! Listen to me when I suggest you to immerse yourself in this whirlwind of a story that portrays how love and humility can change the lives of many people from two different worlds!

What I'm reading!

Hello Fanfickers!!!
Another lovely day to read a fanfic is ahead of us!! Sorry I didn't post anything last night... but I was finishing up the Moonlit Masquerade! And as I told you before, this story is PHENOMENAL!!! Miss Bouakham did a stupendous job, thus placing her story in my favorites section! But then again... there is nothing but the best that I provide for my readers!!

Now to go on with my current story of the day... I am currently reading Almost Lover by Nuna501. She is not done writing her story! However, she has twisted me into her realm! Almost Lover is laced with humor and encircled with the idea of love. This story is worth every minute spent reading it! Show the author some support so she can hurry up and write some more!! lol I'm so excited about this story that I literally stalk it everyday! 0':'0

These great Soomp! authors are hiding! I need your help to find these great stories and share it with everyone! Reading bad stories is so annoying! Especially, if people are constantly recommending them! Nevertheless, Trufloetry knows what is best! I will not let you guys down!! Oh and spread the word about my Blog! Let it be known that somewhere in cyber space lies a place in which good stories, such as Almost Lover and Moonlit Masquerade, are recommended!

What I'm reading!

Hello Fanfic Lovers!!!
Just wanted to give you guys the 411 on what I'm reading now... I'll probably do this everyday seeing as how I'm reading like 5 fanfix right now! But I'll be giving special attention to one per day! The fanfic I'm reading today is called Moonlit Masquerade by Miss Bouakham. I'm not done reading it but every last one of the 35 chapters I've read so far have been so wonderful!!! The author is a romance novel guru, obviously!! Her work has been nothing short of intriguing! If you want to boost up your english vocabulary this story is definitely the one for you! lol I won't give a synopsis of the story just yet since I'm not done reading it... but this fanfic... so far... has placed itself in my must read, favorite fanfic section!

What a well written story!!! I was not able to pull my eyes away from the screen of my pc!!! Con pulls you into the lives of the protagonist and doesn't let her audience down until the end... which I regrettably say has not been created. Unfortunately, Con has left her loyal readers at a cliff hanger; however, there is only one update left until she is done! Long chapters, but you get the feeling that you are in the actual settings that she describes.

Synopsis:
Con starts off the story by introducing you to the main protagonist, Yoori...just an average young woman, living in Taeboek, Korea. Three years prior, Yoori had an "accident". She suffers from amnesia, but she is having recurring dreams that she cannot decode and that her family will not explain to her! Unfortunately, Yoori's family is killed in a horrible house fire, which in her favor allows her to follow her dream of living in Seoul. There she meets the kings of the Underworld: King of Serpents and King of Skulls who change her life from the moment she looks at them! Drawn into a world in which each event is unforgiving, Yoori is thrown into the pit of lions and tigers that are out to seek their own selfish goals. Introduction

Hello fellow Fanfic lovers!!!

First off, I'll like to introduce myself as Trufloetry! Just like many of you, I'm sick and tired of reading fanfix that people recommend on Soomp! and they turn out to SUCK! Poor grammar, little to no punctuation, or just a bad story all together! But, I hope you all can trust my judgment in recommendations!

These stories are going to start off with my TOP favorites that I have already read. And then they will progress to the current ones (notice the plurality) that I am reading! Each of my postings will have a brief synopsis of the story. I am willing to take recommendations from you guys, also, in order to add to my my little collection. No I will not put a .doc or .pdf file of the stories that you guys want to read, unless I am given the permission of the author. However, I will put the url so that you guys won't have to search for it! They will either come from Shoebox or Soomp!.
